Tools you will need

You’ll need some tools on your local workstation. There are lots of ways to install these tools, these are the simplest steps and should work for most users, but more detailed steps are available at https://docs.kubefirst.io/k3d/quick-start/install if you need them.

• kubectl
  • brew install kubectl
• kubens
  • brew install kubectx
• docker desktop (other runtimes may work, but not guarenteed)
  • https://docs.docker.com/get-docker/
• a github account (if you’re the type of person who worries about access levels, please create a new account that you don’t care about. we do NOT need your personal account, but terraform WILL need admin access to this account)
• a domain hosted in Cloudflare or Civo (we’ll use civonetes.com on this demo, but you’ll need your own to replicate the self-hosted demo)
• civo cli
  • brew install civo/tools/civo

Step 1: Login to GitHub and generate your personal access token

Step 2: Login to Civo and collect your token

Step 3: Create your installer cluster
